Two killed in three-vehicle crash in Morgan County
Two people were killed in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 50 in Morgan County, Missouri early Tuesday morning.

MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. -- Two people are dead after a crash involving three cars in Morgan County on the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 16.
The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 50 near Old Route 50 at around 7:30 a.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report. An eastbound 2013 Mercedes-Benz S-Class struck the rear end of a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt, and the Chevrolet was pushed into the westbound lane, crashing head-on into a 2012 Mazda 3, MSHP says.
The driver of the Mazda -- a 38-year-old man from Russellville, Missouri -- was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and a passenger in the Chevrolet suffered serious injuries and were transported by MU Air to University Hospital in Columbia. The passenger -- a 45-year-old man from Versailles, Missouri -- was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
MSHP did not report any injuries to the driver of the Mercedes-Benz.
This is the 30th and 31st fatalities in MSHP Troop F in 2025.
