BENTON COUNTY, Mo. — A 23-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Benton County on Monday, September 15.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, a Clinton, Missouri, man died after a crash around 1:46 p.m. on Highway C, west of Highway E on Monday.
The report says the crash occurred as the man was driving a 2003 Dodge Ram east, when he crossed the center line multiple times and tried to overcorrect.
The vehicle went off the left side of the road, struck a fence and overturned several times before coming to a final rest.
MSHP says the man was not wearing a safety device during the time of the crash.
The man was pronounced deceased by the Benton County Coroner. The next of kin has been notified.
This is the 52nd fatal crash and the 57th fatality for Troop A in 2025.
