73-year-old killed after being struck by car in Collinsville
A Collinsville woman died over the weekend after being struck by vehicle.
COLLINSVILLE, Ill. – A Collinsville woman died over the weekend after being struck by vehicle.
According to a statement from Madison County Coroner Nicholas P. Novacich, Patricia A. Green was walking late Sunday afternoon along the roadway in the 400 block of Troy Road when she was struck by a vehicle.
Green was taken to a hospital in Maryville, where she was pronounced dead just after 7:35 p.m. She was 73.
Novacich said Green’s preliminary cause of death is blunt head and chest trauma. A final cause of death will be made public after routine toxicology testing.
The Illinois State Police and Madison County Coroner’s Office are investigating the fatal crash.
Funeral arrangements for Green are still pending and under the direction of Austin Layne Mortuary in St. Louis.
