Arkansas troopers find more than 200 pounds of marijuana in two traffic stops
Apparently, some folks just can’t resist taking the same route for their 'business.'
BLACKWELL, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Over the weekend of Dec. 6-7, Arkansas State Police made found more than 200 pounds of drugs, in two separate traffic stops in the same spot.
On Friday, Dec. 6 around 10:30 a.m., troopers stopped Davian Blair, 31, of Oklahoma City, on the 101-mile marker for a traffic violation. A search of the vehicle led to 120 pounds of illegal marijuana wrapped in clear plastic bags found in the car.
Blair was arrested on felony charges of possession with intent to deliver. He was booked into Conway County Detention Center.
On Dec. 7 around 12:45 p.m., troopers stopped a rented Jeep Grand Cherokee at the 101-mile marker in Conway County for a traffic violation. A search of the SUV led to the arrest of two people from Virginia.
The driver, Willie Revish IV, 27, of Petersburg and passenger, Amber Murphey, 29, of Chester, were taken to Conway County Detention Center after troopers found about 119 one-pound vacuum-sealed bags of illegal marijuana in multiple duffle bags hidden in different areas of the SUV.
Revish was booked on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and use of another person’s property to facilitate a crime.
Murphey was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
