TANEY COUNTY, Mo. — A man from Taney County died in a single-vehicle wreck on Friday night, July 11.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, the wreck occurred at 10 p.m. approximately 1 north of Rockaway Beach on Sundown Lane.
The report says the man traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
He was pronounced dead on scene at 11 p.m. by Taney County Deputy Coroner Bryan Koppitz. Next of kin have been notified, per the report.
The man was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
This was MSHP Troop D's 64th fatality for 2025.
