HICKORY COUNTY, Mo. -- A man was rescued from a well in Hickory County Tuesday evening thanks to the efforts of Central Hickory Fire Rescue crews.
In a Facebook post, Central Hickory Fire says they responded to a rescue call in the Galmey area around 5 p.m. for a man who fell 30-40 feet into a well. The fire rescue team says they were able to retrieve the man from the well in 35 minutes.
The patient was transported to a nearby hospital by a Citizens Memorial Hospital ambulance for treatment.
"The swift and efficient response from Central Hickory Fire Rescue highlights their dedication and expertise in handling emergency situations," Central Hickory Fire Rescue said. "A big round of applause goes out to all those involved for their outstanding efforts and quick thinking in ensuring the safety and well-being of the individual in distress."
