ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A Blackjack, Missouri, man who escaped the Jennings City Jail on Sunday afternoon is back in custody – and he has company.

According to Mary Schmitt, a St. Louis County Police Department spokeswoman, Allen Williams, 28, was incarcerated at the jail, located in the 5400 block of Jennings Station Road, for multiple felonies.

On Dec. 8, Williams telephoned Ronnae Rhines, the mother of his child, and told her to pick him up because he was going to escape.

Police said Williams hid in a closet and attacked a corrections officer to steal her security keycard. Williams left the jail and found Rhines waiting for him with a car. The two drove away. the correction officer suffered minor injuries in the attack.

Police later found Williams at Rhines' residence in the 5100 block of Campfire Trail and took both into custody.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged Rhines, 25, with hindering prosecution of a felony. She remains jailed on a $50,000 cash-only bond.

As for Williams, prosecutors tacked on charges of third-degree assault and escape from custody while under arrest for a felony. He's being held without bond.
