A woman from Joplin is facing a DWI charge after she was allegedly behind the wheel of a serious crash on the west side of the city Wednesday evening.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened at the intersection of 7th & Black Cat Road, when 46-year-old Brandie Duvall reportedly failed to yield and t-boned an SUV.
The driver of that vehicle was a 60-year-old woman from Baxter Springs, Kansas, who was taken to a Joplin hospital with serious injuries.
Duvall was taken to the Jasper County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
A probable cause statement says Duvall’s Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) was 0.222%. The legal limit in Missouri is 0.08%.
