WYANDOTTE COUNTY – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) is conducting a death investigation at a residence in Edwardsville, Kansas.
On Monday, Dec. 2, just after 9 a.m., the Edwardsville Police Department received a 911 call from a resident in Edwardsville, reporting hearing a gunshot.
When officers arrived on scene, they located a deceased male on the back porch, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
The deceased man was identified as Roger Golubski, 71, of the residence.
Currently, there are no indications of foul play.
Golubski was set to appear for the first day of a federal trial for alleged civil rights violations.
The Edwardsville Police Department requested KBI assistance at approximately 9:30 a.m. Special agents responded to the scene to investigate.
An autopsy is scheduled. A thorough investigation will be conducted.
The investigation is ongoing.
