ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A St. Louis County man is charged with a shooting at a Hotshots restaurant in Mehlville.

According to a spokeswoman for the St. Louis County Police Department, the shooting happened Monday night in the 7500 block of South Lindbergh Boulevard.

Polie said Kyle Tweedy, 36, shot a man during an altercation.

Several witnesses were at the restaurant and much of the incident was captured on security video, police said.

Police took Tweedy into custody at the scene.

Witnesses at the scene told a FOX 2 News crew that Tweedy insisted the victim had been harassing him prior to the shooting.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Tweedy with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. He remains in custody on a $200,000 cash-only bond. A court date was not posted in online records at this story’s time of publication.
