ST. LOUIS - Nelly, Chingy, and members of the St. Lunatics are set to embark on the 'Where the Party At' World Tour in 2025. Although the tour features more than 50 tour dates across several countries, local residents are surprised the St. Louis natives won't be stopping in their hometown.
The St. Louis natives will be hitting the road in March 2025 alongside artists Ja Rule, Eve, Jermaine Dupri, Fabulous, and more special guests. The tour features 54 tour dates spanning across 4 continents but noticably excludes St. Louis.
The tour celebrates the 25th anniversary of Nelly's 2000 debut album, 'Country Grammar,' which is one of 10 hip-hop albums to be certified diamond by the RIAA, according to Revolt. The album featured classic hits like 'Ride Wit Me,' 'E.I.,' and more.
Following the announcement of the tour, St. Lunatic member Kyjuan posted on social media hinting at a surprise St. Louis show, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch.
“How y’all gone do a tour, got Murph, KyJuan, Slo, Chingy...but you not coming to St. Louis is what ya about say huh...stay tuned,” Kyjuan posted.
Although the tour features the St. Lunatics, it is unknown if Ali Jones, a former member of the 2000s St. Louis rap group, will appear during performances after he filed a $50 million lawsuit against Nelly in September. The lawsuit claimed that the 'Air Force Ones' rapper prevented members of the St. Lunatics from gaining royalties and profits from 'Country Grammar.' The lawsuit initially featured the group's other three members but they demanded to be dropped.
Despite Nelly not stopping in St. Louis during his global tour, the St. Louis native will be hosting his annual star-studded Black and White Ball on Sunday, Dec. 15, which has previously featured Janet Jackson, Nick Cannon, Wyclef Jean, Monica, Allen Iverson, Boyz II Men, and several others since the ball’s inception in 2006.
