(NEXSTAR) -- Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne has died, according to reports.
In a statement obtained by The Sun and the Associated Press, Osbourne's family said he was "surrounded by love" when he died Tuesday morning.
"It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning," the statement read. The family went on to ask for privacy.
No cause of death was listed, and no additional information was released.

Earlier this month, Osbourne joined the original members of the Black Sabbath — Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward — for one final show in Birmingham, England.
“It’s my time to go Back to the Beginning….time for me to give back to the place where I was born,” Osbourne said in a social media post in February. “How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever.”
