This morning, a weak boundary is drifting through eastern Missouri. This boundary will be near Highway 65 by the afternoon and may produce a round of scattered afternoon rain showers today.
By Tuesday, the boundary will have moved west of Highway 65, taking the chance for scattered afternoon showers into western Missouri. Rainfall overall will be hit-or-miss, but some areas may get hit with an inch or more of rainfall on the very local level.
Showers become less likely on Wednesday, but rain chances look promising as we head into Thursday. The heat dome will break down and split in two by the end of this week. This will allow rain into the Ozarks, especially on Thursday.
The higher rain chances also come with cooler weather. Temperatures will be lowered out of the 90s and into the mid ot low 80s by week's end.
