Seligman man drowns near campground in Beaver Town
Marvin Stevens, a 34-year-old man from Seligman, Missouri, drowned while attempting to swim to the old train bridge in Beaver Town, Arkansas.

CARROLL COUNTY, Ark. — The Carroll County Sheriff's Office said a man from Seligman, Missouri, drowned last weekend.
According to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, on Sunday, July 20, Marvin Stevens drowned while trying to swim out to the old train bridge near the campground in Beaver Town.
The Mennonite Search and Rescue team, Benton County Dive Team, the Office of Emergency Management and Holiday Island Fire Department were then dispatched to the scene. Once on scene, the Mennonite team deployed their underwater sonar and were able to locate Stevens a short time later.
Stevens was 30 years old.
