SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Springfield man has been charged and is accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of items from Harbor Freight.
Court records show that Timothy Michael Rable is charged with two counts of felony stealing.
A probable cause statement from the Springfield Police Department (SPD) says Rable took over $12,000 worth of merchandise from Harbor Freight between Sept. 5 and Oct. 27, on eight separate occasions.
Documents also say that Rable would typically enter the store, stay for just a few minutes, then walk out with merchandise in hand. On a few occasions, he grabbed a larger item (like a generator) and drag it out of the store.
SPD says all of the incidents were caught on camera. Documents also show that police found Rable was a suspect or person of interest in over 15 incidents of stealing between April 2023 and October 2024.
