Springfield woman enters alford plea for double murder

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Sentencing is set for June for a woman accused of a double murder on Erie Street in February of 2024.
Tarrin Dicks, 22, entered an Alford plea to two counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of Trevin Dicks, 21, and Reggie Carey, 19, both of Springfield. Under such a plea, a defendant does not admit guilt but concedes that evidence is likely to result in a conviction.
Tarrin Dicks and Izaiah Crabb were charged after a shooting in the 200 block of South Erie resulted in the deaths. Police said at the time that the shooting appeared to be the result of an ongoing dispute.
Crabb is also charged with two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of armed criminal action. He is next scheduled to appear in court on June 10, 2025.
