According to court records, Fredaann Marie Reed will serve five years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for the arson she committed in 2023.
She will be held in the Greene County Jail pending the outcome of a separate case where Reed is accused of assaulting a Walgreens employee in 2022. The employee eventually required surgery on her left shoulder due to injuries she suffered during the assault.

Original story:
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Springfield woman has pleaded guilty to arson after she was accused of setting fire to a home when being served an eviction notice.
Online court records show Fredaann Marie Reed entered a guilty plea on Oct. 4. She is scheduled to be back in court in December for sentencing.
Documents say Reed told law enforcement she walked out the front door and around the corner of the house to open her bedroom window and used a lighter to set fire to a bedsheet being used as a curtain.
Three other people were inside when the fire started, and one suffered minor injuries.
Reed is also charged with assault in a separate case where she allegedly pushed a cart into a Walgreens employee, then pushed the employee into store shelves. The employee suffered injuries that eventually required surgery.
