To the editor:
I read a recent letter to the St. Louis Call from Clark Suter in your Nov. 28 issue. I could not agree more.
Why is it, that a young man, of 14, has a better view of the new president and his nominees for governmental positions, than many older Americans? When have the qualifications for these high positions changed from knowledge and experience, to rewards to big donors and to political hacks?
President-elect Donald Trump is surrounding himself with appointees who say, “Yes, how high should I jump?” rather than advisors who would give good advice and counsel to the president.
The Senate should stand up to the president-elect and do what is best for our country and not be concerned with losing their next election.
