56-year-old man fatally struck by vehicle in Sunset Hills
A 56-year-old man was fatally struck by a vehicle in Sunset Hills on Tuesday evening, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - A 56-year-old man is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Sunset Hills Tuesday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's (MSHP) crash report, the accident occurred a little before 8:30 p.m. on Geyer and Cragwold Roads, involving a Chevrolet Equinox.
MSHP officials say the accident happened as the Chevrolet was travelling southbound on Geyer Road at Cragwold Road. According to the crash report, the 56-year-old man walked into the southbound lane of Geyer Road while the Chevrolet was approaching, causing the vehicle to fatally strike the man. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to MSHP.
The driver of the Chevrolet Equinox did not suffer any injuries from the crash.
