64-year-old man found dead in north St. Louis apartment
A 64-year-old man was found dead in his home in north St. Louis on Tuesday, with the Medical Examiner's Office finding neck injuries consistent with strangulation, prompting an investigation by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Division.
ST. LOUIS - Police are investigating after a 64-year-old man was found dead in his home on Tuesday in north St. Louis.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), the man was found dead in his apartment shortly after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday on the 3000 block of North 25th Street in the St. Louis Place neighborhood of north St. Louis.
When police arrived on the scene, they found Reginald Dukes, 64, lying on the floor unconcious and not breathing, authorities say. The Medical Examiner's Office took over the investigation at the time and later contacted SLMPD's Homicide Division on Thursday, advising that the 64-year-old man suffered from neck injuries consistent with strangulation, according to SLMPD.
