Accused restaurant burglar to appear in court
One of three men accused of breaking into four south St. Louis restaurants over the summer is slated to appear in court Monday afternoon.
ST. LOUIS – One of three men accused of breaking into four south St. Louis restaurants over the summer is slated to appear in court Monday afternoon.
According to St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department probable cause statements, the crimes occurred in the overnight hours of July 17.
Police said Anthony D. Collins, 22, and two accomplices broke into four businesses in a close radius:
- Who Dat Southern Bar and Grill, 4247 South Kingshighway Blvd.
- Expresso Yourself Coffee and Café, 5351 Devonshire Ave.
- D.B. Cooper’s Safe House, 6109 Gravois Ave.
- Bomber O’Brien’s Sports Bar, 4621 Beck Ave.
Collins lives less than 100 yards away from Who Dat Southern, police said.
Collins and the accomplices are accused of taking a cash register from Who Dat Southern, a white metal cash box from Expresso Yourself, and three cash registers from Bomber O'Brien's. The trio fled D.B. Cooper's Safe House with nothing after the alarm went off.
The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office charged Collins with three counts of first-degree burglary, three counts of second-degree property damage, three counts of stealing, one count of first-degree property damage, and one count of first-degree attempted burglary.
