“As Kansas increases its presence throughout the world, it’s important to showcase and learn about the many different cultures that can be found all across our state,” Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland said.“I encourage people to attend this fun event which will also help to amplify small businesses and local economies.”

The Kansas Global Holiday Market is inspired by the popular European Christmas Markets that are commonly found in Vienna, Budapest, Prague and other countries around the world. The free event will be marked with twinkling lights, regional foods, shopping and a festive spirit.

“We’re pleased to team up with so many sponsors and partners for this year’s event,” International Division Director Laura Lombard said. “In addition to highlighting the global representation we have in Wichita and in every region of Kansas, the event provides an opportunity for Kansans to experience various cultural holiday traditions through unique cuisine, entertainment and gifts.”

Visitors will experience more than 40 countries represented at the one-day event. Highlights of the 2024 Kansas Global Holiday Market include:

  • Global Culinary Delights: Taste traditional dishes from various countries, from Caribbean dishes to Japanese boba tea and German spiced wine. Adults can relax with a stein of something festive.
