Asbury woman killed in suspected DWI collision

Update:

KSNF/KODE — A man is arrested on suspicion of DWI for the crash that killed an Asbury woman Saturday.

Malachi Doyle, 19, from Topeka was taken into custody on a 24-hour hold for felony DWI resulting in the death of another and failure to yield.

The crash happened Saturday around 11:45 a.m. on Route H, three miles northeast of Asbury.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says his vehicle was traveling southbound and pulled into the path of 36-year-old Crystal Emory's vehicle.

It overturned and Emory died after she was taken to a local hospital.

Jasper County Chief Deputy Coroner Scott Keatts released the name.

Since November 1, the Missouri State Highway Patrol has no longer provided names on crash reports—it's part of its new policy.

Doyle was taken to Mercy Carthage with minor injuries.

KSNF/KODE — An Asbury woman is dead after an overturn crash on Saturday.

It happened at 11:44 Saturday morning, three miles northeast of Asbury on Route H in Jasper County.

Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 20-year-old male SUV driver from Topeka was driving southbound into the path of another vehicle.

Troopers say this caused the Toyota Camry of Crystal Emory, 36, from Asbury to overturn.

Emory was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Jasper County Chief Deputy Coroner Scott Keatts released the name.

The driver of the SUV was taken to Mercy Carthage with minor injuries.
