Aurora businesses remain without power in aftermath of severe storms

AURORA, Mo. -- Many businesses in Aurora were forced to close for the day on Wednesday as much of the town remains without power.
One store, Jim Carr's convenience store, remains open at limited capacity thanks to a few generators. The store continues to sell products and also prepare limited menu items.
However, with no electricity, that means there's no digital cash register to help with math. That's forcing them to revert to the "old school" way of documenting purchases.
"We've been doing pen and paper -- old school," said Jami Kelley. "It's been a challenge. I actually had a headache yesterday doing that. But, it's been alright."
Employees say they're hopeful the power is back on soon.
