BARRY COUNTY, Mo. — A Barry County man has died following a boat crash in Table Rock Lake on Monday, August 18.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) boat report, a 57-year-old Shell Knob man has died following a watercraft collision around 1:45 p.m. on Table Rock Lake near Viola on Monday.
MSHP says the crash occurred when a 61-year-old Cassville man was operating a 2015 Regal Open Motorboat with a 57-year-old Lone Tree, Colorado woman as an occupant. The watercraft collided with the 57-year-old man's boat while meeting on the Kings River Arm of Table Rock Lake.
The Colorado woman was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries.
This is the third boating fatality for Troop D in 2025.
