BARRY COUNTY, Mo. — A Pierce City man has died after a single-car crash in Barry County on Saturday, July 27.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, a 21-year-old man has died after a car crash around 1:47 a.m. on Route 97, three miles west of Purdy, on early Sunday morning.
MSHP says the crash occurred when the man was driving a 2000 Ford F250 north on the roadway. The man's truck traveled off the right side of the road and then returned to the road, which resulted in the vehicle overturning.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene. The next of kin has been notified.
This is the 67th fatality for MSHP Troop D in 2025.
