JOPLIN, Mo. — A local nonprofit is looking for some holiday season help.
Specifically, Bright Futures Joplin is hoping folks are able to donate items during Giving Tuesday, which is tomorrow.
The organization is always in search of more school supplies, backpacks, and especially coats right now. They can be in all sizes, but the current need is for larger sizes for high school students.
Donations can be made in person or online. Those interested in volunteering can also do that online.
"We feel like Giving Tuesday is about how everyone has something to give. Whether it be 4 dollars for one snack pack for our weekend food bags, or whether it be you're volunteering your time to be a mentor for a student who doesn't have a responsible, reliable adult in their lives -- or you can come volunteer your time here in the donation center, or donate funds to help us purchase school supplies and clothing and everything else that we provide," said Amanda Stone, Bright Futures Joplin Exec. Director.
We have the link to do that here.
