NEVADA, Mo. — A jury has found a Collins man guilty on six charges in connection with a home invasion from 2023.
Online court records show that Colt Bromley was in court Dec. 3-5 and was found guilty of:
- second-degree assault (felony)
- armed criminal action (felony)
- first-degree tresspass (misdemeanor)
- three counts of fourth-degree assault (misdemeanors)
Documents say Bromley kicked in the door of a woman's residence in November 2023, wielding an AR-15-style pistol and firing inside the home.
Several rounds went through the wall of a bathroom, then into an adjacent bedroom where the woman was shielding her two and five-year-old children from the gunfire, documents say, and at least four bullets hit the bed they were lying on.
Bromley is due back in court on Feb. 28, 2025 for sentencing.
