Well, today was hot. Temperatures officially climbed to 93 degrees, making today the warmest it has been for all of 2025.
If you're not a fan of the heat, just be patient. A cold front will push through tomorrow and erase the summer-time heat and humidity, transitioning us into a soggier pattern.
Rain can kick off as early as Saturday morning as the dying remnants of a storm system to our north will spill into the region. People north of I-44 will have the best chance of rain to start the day, before rain shifts further to the south by the afternoon.
I am not expecting a total washout. Thunderstorms can come with winds gusting from 40-60mph and heavy rain in localized pockets.
We will be returning to an active summer pattern which means every day from here on out will carry the chacnce of rain and showers. Now, no day is a garuntee of rain. Most day our chacnes to see wet weather is roughly 30-40%.
When all is said and done, most of the Ozarks will pick up between 1-2" of rain this week. The positive part of the rain is that it will keep temperatures below the seasonal average for this week.
