DES PERES, Mo. – An SUV struck and killed a 73-year-old man in Des Peres on Saturday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report, the incident happened just after 7:05 p.m. on Route 100 at Tallie Drive.
The report said a 35-year-old man was driving a 2002 Nissan Xterra eastbound on Route 100. The Xterra struck the 73-year-old pedestrian, who had walked into its path.
The pedestrian was rushed to Mercy Hospital St. Louis and was pronounced dead just after 7:30 p.m.
