JOPLIN, Mo. — A Joplin business invites the community in for some Christmas celebrations.
Abernathy Roofing and Construction hosted their first-ever Santa Extravaganza event for kids of all ages.
It was open to the general public - through a pre-registration process.
Kiddos had a chance to fill out a letter to Santa - enjoy some cookies and hot cocoa - and even visit with Saint Nick himself.
"So, every year we do a pretty large giveaway for the public - and I told my husband that this year, let's make it all about the kids. So, we decided to do a large kid event and give the gifts away that way this year," said Sarah Abernathy, Abernathy Roofing and Construction Owner.
Every child who attended Saturday's festivities was able to take home a small Christmas gift.
