POLK COUNTY, Mo. — A Flemington woman has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for her involvement in a deadly drunk driving crash.
Faith Leeann Ryan, 31, was charged with eight felonies:
- Two counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child resulting in the death of a child (10 years)
- Two counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child resulting in physical injury (5 years each)
- Driving while intoxicated (DWI) resulting in the death of another (10 years)
According to court documents, the five above charges will be served concurrently.
The following charges will also be served concurrently, however, they will be served after the first ten years resulting in a total of 14 years of prison time.
- First-degree harassment (4 years)
- Two counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child creating substantial risk (4 years)
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) said the crash happened on E. 330th Rd. about three miles south of Humansville in November 2022 when the GMC Yukon Ryan was driving ran off the side of the road and overturned. Ryan’s nine-year-old son was killed, while she and her five-year-old daughter and two-year-old son were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Ryan agreed to a preliminary breath test, MSHP said, which showed her blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.067%. A blood sample was taken when Ryan arrived at a Bolivar hospital, which revealed a BAC of 0.102%.
