United States Attorney Clint Johnson today announced the results of the December Federal Grand Jury 2024-A Indictments handed down in the Northern District of Oklahoma.
34-year-old Jordan Shay Ryan Kelly of Miami, Oklahoma and and a member of the Shawnee Tribe, is charged with taking property of value from another person by force, violence, and intimidation.
Kelly was charged with violations of United States law in indictments returned by the Grand Jury.
The return of an indictment is a method of informing a defendant of alleged violations of federal law, which must be proven in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt to overcome a defendant’s presumption of innocence.
The Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Miami Police Department are the investigative agencies.
Assistant U.S. Attorney John W. Dowdell is prosecuting the case.
