ST. LOUIS - A big show is coming to the St. Louis region from a couple of the city's most notable musicians. St. Louis natives Nelly and Metro Boomin have partnered up to introduce a new music festival coming to the city in 2025.
'The Smokin’ Hayride Festival' is set to debut in St. Louis in 2025, mixing a blend of country and hip-hop music into one big show. The St. Louis rapper and red-hot producer shared the news before performing together at the 'Air Force Ones' artist's annual 'Black and White Ball' on Sunday.
The festival announcement comes after St. Louis was notably snubbed from Nelly's upcoming 'Where the Party At' World Tour, which also features Chingy, the majority of the St. Lunatics group, and more.
According to the Post Dispatch, St. Lunatics member Kyjuan seemingly hinted at the St. Louis-based festival after viewing the reactions from fans noticing the tour's absence from the artist's hometown.
“How y’all gone do a tour, got Murph, KyJuan, Slo, Chingy…but you not coming to St. Louis is what ya about say huh…stay tuned,” Kyjuan posted.
Nelly and Metro Boomin have had a big 2024 prior to the festival announcement. Nelly welcomed his first child with wife Asanti in July and Metro Boomin released two studio albums, alongside Atlanta artist Future, 'We Don't Trust You' and 'We Still Don't Trust You,' within a month of each other.
The details, including the date of the festival, have yet not been released.
