Motorcycle crash claims life of Springfield man

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Springfield man has died following a motorcycle accident on early Thursday morning.
Tyler Trombetta, 24, was driving a 2024 Harley-Davidson motorcycle on 2600 block of W. Madison in Springfield at 2:28 a.m. when he crashed into a downed tree in the street.
The Springfield Police Department (SPD) said in a press release that the downed tree was marked with cones.
The SPD says that Trombetta was not wearing a helmet during the time of the crash.
Trombetta was taken to a hospital, but later died due to his injuries.
