OFT: Bill and Payne Stewart's lucky #13

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--Our summer golf series continues.

Ozarks First's Chris Pinson is showcasing some of the signature holes in the Ozarks.

Tonight it's number 13 at Bill and Payne Stewart golf course.

Is 13 lucky or unlucky?

Chris Pinson/Ozarks First: "Hey there! And welcome to week five of Ozarks First Tee. Today, I'm back in Springfield at one of the most famous courses in all of Sprignfield. Bill and Payne Stewart Golf Course. And today, we have our next signature hole and helping me, here, giving us the grand tour of this signature hole is none other than Ryan Odel, the Assistant Pro out here at Bill and Payne Stewart. So, Ryan, you got 17 great holes, but why is 13 so pretty?"

Ryan Odel/Assistant Pro Stewart golf course:"It is an amazing hole here at Bill and Payne and we look forward to telling you all about it. coming off number 12, the most difficult here at Bill and Payne Stewart, 13 tee sets up for a risk/reward decision. The tees being set at the tips at 336. The white at 323. It provides the opportunity for long hitters to go for the green. There's a bunker left and a pine tree short right to provide the risk, but a well placed drive allows for a short iron into a right to left sloping green. So after a great drive in the fairway, you do want to try and keep the ball below the hole because this green does severely slope right to left making that putt downhill pretty treacherous. We hope that you enjoyed this bird's eye view of 13 at Bill and Payne Stewart. We really look forward to having you back out to enjoy the other 17."
