Ozarks homeless alliance seeks community input to tackle homelessness

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Ozarks Alliance to End Homelessness (OAEH) is encouraging local residents to help with its future plans by taking a community survey.

The approximately 15-minute survey will serve as an important guide for OAEH to craft its 2026-2030 strategic plan by helping them decide how to prioritize funds and set future goals.

The Community Partnership of the Ozarks (CPO) says OAEH serves as its Continuum of Care. The initiative — designated by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) — coordinates homeless services and funding, and works with community groups to address and minimize homelessness. The group generally covers Greene, Christian and Webster counties.

According to CPO, HUD gives over $1 million in funding through groups like OAEH to local agencies for shelter and support services.

Those interested in taking the survey can fill it out here.
