Friday, Dec. 20

  • The Grant’s View Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 9700 Musick Road, is hosting “Story Time” – featuring stories, songs and other fun activities to help develop early literacy skills – from 10 – 11 a.m. Open to ages 2 – 5.
  • The Meramec Valley Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 1501 San Simeon Way, is hosting “First Art” – a toddler art program where the focus is on the process of making art rather than the finished product – from 10 – 11 a.m. Dress to be messy.   • SAJE Senior Ministry is hosting chair yoga at 10:30 a.m. at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church, 5275 S. Lindbergh Blvd. Admission is $3 and SilverSneakers is accepted.

  • The Grant’s View Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 9700 Musick Road, is hosting “Ugly Sweater Ornaments” from 3 – 4:30 p.m. Celebrate National Ugly Sweater Day by making ugly sweater ornaments. This drop-in program will last until 4:30 p.m or while supplies last. Open to ages 6 and up.

Saturday, Dec. 21

  • The Meramec Valley Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 1501 San Simeon Way, is hosting “Trains at the Library” from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Visit the model train display and bring your own train to run on the tracks. Bring your standard gauge and ‘O’ gauge trains to run on the tracks. See desk staff for details. Open to all ages.
  • The Oak Bend Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 842 S. Holmes Ave, is hosting a “Holiday Safari” from 10 – 11 a.m. Presented by Animal Tales, meet six live animals from around the world. Participants will receive hints to the surprise animal guests. Open to ages 5 and up.
  • Share, discuss and edit your recent work with fellow writers at “Writers’ Workshop” hosted by the Grant’s View Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 9700 Musick Road, from  10 – 11 a.m.

  • Peace Lutheran Church, 737 Barracksview Road, is hosting “Christmas at Peace” – featuring the Orchestra of Peace, under the direction of Burnell L. Hackman, as well as special guest and internationally renowned soprano Christine Brewer – at 3 p.m. A free will offering will be received.

Monday, Dec. 23

Need assistance with energy bills, water/sewer bills, rent/mortgage payment and/or home weatherization?
