South St. Louis fire displaces residents, hospitalizes one
A man was hospitalized and several people displaced after a fire broke out in a second-floor apartment in south St. Louis early Monday morning.
ST. LOUIS - A man is in the hospital and several other people are displaced from their homes after an early morning fire in south St. Louis Monday.
The fire broke out around 12:45 a.m. overnight Monday morning on Minnesota Avenue in the Benton Park West neighborhood.
Firefighters say the fire started on the second floor. One person who lives there was hospitalized with smoke inhalation. Four others were able to get out safely.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
