Springfield continues storm cleanup after heavy rainfall

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Severe weather swept through the region Saturday afternoon, causing widespread storm damage.
Cleanup continues in portions of Springfield following the strong storms that brought down trees and power lines across the state this weekend. According to damage reports, there was also a transformer fire, several trees down on houses, and a utility pole down.
Springfield police closed off parts of Wilbraham Road from Archie Street to Barrison Street due to downed power lines.
