Springfield-Greene County Library fall book sale kicks off

GREENE COUNTY, Mo. — The Friends of the Springfield-Greene County Library District Fall Book Sale opens to the public starting Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 10 a.m.

The Springfield-Greene County Library District says they have 6 tractor-trailers full of books for sale. They also have board games, puzzles, movies, CDs, and vinyl records available for purchase.

The Library says about 25% of these are retired books from library shelves, but the other 75% are donations from the community.

If you are interested in donating any books you may have at home, they are requesting you wait until after the sale is over, so they have the space to take the donations.

If you want to visit the sale, be sure to bring your own bag to take your items home, and bring either cash or a checkbook. They do not take card.

  • Wednesday-Friday: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. - Half Price Day
  • Sunday: 1-5 p.m. - $1 and $5 Bag Day

All proceeds from the sale will go back to support the Springfield-Greene County Library District.
