A man accused of threatening people with an AR-15 at a Springfield gas station in 2023 has changed his plea to guilty during a plea hearing on Monday, Dec. 16.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A man accused of threatening people with an AR-15 at a Springfield gas station in 2023 has changed his plea to guilty during a plea hearing on Monday, Dec. 16.
Online court records state that Ethan M. Jones pleaded guilty under a plea agreement. Jones was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.
On the early morning of April 6, 2023, Springfield police officers arrested Jones at a gas station on National Avenue. He had reportedly threatened people with an AR-15-style pistol that was found tucked in his waistband and told a woman in the gas station that he was going to kill her.
His sentencing hearing will take place on Feb. 19, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.
