St. Louis weather: Rain ends, colder temperatures on the way
Temperatures in St. Louis are rising, with rain and storms expected this morning, but will clear out later today, with colder temperatures expected for the rest of the week.
ST. LOUIS -- Temperatures have been rising since about 10 p.m. Sunday night. We are well into the 50s Monday morning and will stay close to 60 through the morning.
Rain and some storms are rolling across the region, mainly south of I-70. While storms are not severe, some small hail is possible with the action this morning. Rain moves out around lunchtime. Skies will clear and temperatures will begin to drop. It will be noticeably colder by evening and clear and chilly overnight. Wake up temperatures Tuesday will be in the 30s.
A sunny start Tuesday with clouds returning in the afternoon ahead of our next system. Highs will be in the low 50s. Additional rain showers will be possible Tuesday night into early Wednesday, with the focus again south and southeast of metro St. Louis.
Behind this second rain chance, we get colder and stay colder. Highs Wednesday will be in the 40s with clearing skies. Highs in the 40s again Thursday before we turn breezy and colder for Friday, highs in the 30s.
