Stolen car chase in Springfield ends in crash, one arrested
The Greene County Sheriff's Office is investigating a stolen vehicle that crashed early Tuesday morning, resulting in one arrest and no injuries reported.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Greene County Sheriff's Office is investigating a stolen vehicle that crashed early Tuesday morning.
The owners of the vehicle say it was stolen from their driveway Monday night. Greene County deputies first located the vehicle at Glenstone Avenue and Cinderella Street.
When deputies attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver didn't stop. Deputies followed and eventually located the vehicle crashed into the grass behind a business on East St. Louis Street just off of Glenstone Avenue.
Deputies immediately arrested one person and are continuing to search for other people in the vehicle. Springfield Police officers were also at the scene of the crash.
No injuries have been reported so far, and the crash does not seem to be affecting traffic.
