The backend of the weekend came with clouds, mild temperatures and a little rain. The rain amounts weren't heavy but the rainy bursts were enough to make for wet roads during the afternoon. Damp and drizzy weather continued into the evening hours with temperatures slowly falling into the 40s.
Back to work weather will come with clouds and a risk of some patchy drizzle. Temperatures will remain cool but should top 50° across the area.
A stalled front will get a shove by Monday night as colder air catches up with the front and pushes the front south of the area. Cold air will be flowing by Tuesday and this will lock us into a cold spell through the middle of the week.
The cold will come with sun and clouds and gusty winds that will drive down wind chills both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Thursday may be a transition day back to a milder mode. The warmup may come with another storm moving through the region. This would lead to cloudier skies Friday into the weekend with a chance for showers Friday and Saturday. Temperatures will be cool, but above normal for mid-December. The backend of the coming weekend could turn mild if we can move clouds out fast enough.
