HUMANSVILLE, Mo. - A trial date has been set for the Humansville utility clerk accused of rigging the April 2024 election.
Sophia Piper was charged with a felony count of Committing Class One Election Offenses.
According to an official complaint obtained by KOLR 10 Investigates from the Secretary of State, Piper is accused of blocking certain candidates from submitting paperwork to run in the election.
KOLR 10 Investigates asked Piper about the allegations at a city council meeting and she denied any wrongdoing.
Her jury trial is scheduled for April 30 in Webster County. KOLR 10 Investigates will continue following this developing story.
