AURORA, Mo. — Two people are in custody in Lawrence County, accused of trafficking drugs and selling them outside a public school.
Court documents from the Aurora-Marionville Police Department say an undercover informant made contact with Matthew Franklin Self sometime between Nov. 20 and Dec. 4, 2024, and purchased methamphetamine from him outside of a public school.
Days later, documents say officers served a search warrant to Self's residence in Aurora, where he and Jacinda Lynn Schulte were present. Documents say police found three bags that field tested positive for methamphetamines, loaded syringes, multiple glass pipes, an unmarked pill bottle, and two firearms, along with multiple scales, empty clear bags and over $1,600 in cash during the search.
Online records show that Self is charged with distribution of a controlled substance in a protected location, first-degree drug trafficking, unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Schulte is also charged with first-degree drug trafficking, unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Self and Schulte are currently being held in the Lawrence County Jail without bond.
