UPDATE:
JASPER COUNTY, Mo. — We're learning more about this afternoon's deadly Christmas Eve crash.
It happened before 3:00 p.m. on Highway 59 in Fidelity, just south of Apple Road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says three vehicles were involved.
The 37-year-old Sarcoxie man was traveling southbound in a Kia Soul.
MSHP's crash report says a northbound Hummer driven by Jennifer Maupin, 43, of Grove, was attempting to pass another vehicle and hit the Soul head-on.
The man died at the scene, and the woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
A third vehicle was damaged while trying to avoid the crash, but that driver was not injured.
According to the MSHP, Maupin was arrested for felony DWI, DWI death of another, and careless and imprudent driving causing an accident.
This is Troop D's 113th fatality of the year.

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. — An area resident is dead following a three-vehicle crash.
It happened before 3 o'clock this afternoon near South Apple Road, and 59 Highway.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash involving three vehicles, one overturned.
The Jasper County Coroner's Office confirms at least one person is dead and says that person is a local resident.
No other information is being released at this time.
