1-year-old child dies in West Plains after being struck by vehicle

WEST PLAINS, Mo. — A child who was struck by a vehicle in West Plains on Sept. 11 has died.
According to West Plains police, the one-year-old child died on Sept. 12. Police located and arrested Russell L Quinn, 20, of West Plains, on Sept. 13.
The incident occurred in the 800 block of Lanton Road and it was discovered that the driver of the vehicle had fled the scene on foot.
Quinn is currently facing charges of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. He is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.
