The two Oahu-based stores — one on Nimitz Highway and the other in Waikele — are locally owned and operated, making them independent of the New Jersey-based franchise's decision to shut down a significant portion of its outlets.
In a statement today, the local franchise owner reassured customers that both Hawaii locations will continue to serve the community despite the nationwide closures.
Party City's decision to close 850 stores nationwide comes as the company works to restructure amid financial challenges.
